DMCA & Intellectual Property Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

The short version: only upload and order 3D models that you created, own, or are licensed to reproduce. Don't order copyrighted characters, branded or trademarked designs, counterfeits, or illegal/regulated items. Your files stay private and are used only to make your order, and you're responsible for the rights in them. We don't pre-screen every design, but we can refuse infringing work — and rights holders can use the takedown process below.
On this page 1. Acceptable use & your responsibility 2. Prohibited content 3. Your responsibility & our right to refuse 4. Reporting infringement (DMCA notice) 5. Counter-notification 6. Repeat-infringer policy 7. Our role & safe harbor 8. Contact & changes

1. Acceptable use & your responsibility

3D Print Dash is a marketplace that lets customers order 3D-printed parts from independent operators. When you upload a model or place an order, you represent and warrant that you own the design or have all rights, licenses, and permissions needed to have it printed.

You are solely responsible for the files you submit. If you don't have the right to reproduce something, don't upload it — printing it may infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or patent, and you would be responsible for that.

2. Prohibited content

You may not upload, order, or print anything that:

When in doubt, assume a design is protected. Public, freely-licensed, or your-own models are always welcome.

3. Your responsibility & our right to refuse

3D Print Dash is a manufacturing service, not a public content-hosting platform — uploaded models are private files used only to produce your order, not posted publicly. Like other manufacturing marketplaces, we do not pre-screen or police every uploaded design for intellectual-property issues; responsibility for the rights in a file stays with the customer who uploads it (see Section 1).

We do, however, reserve the right — at our sole discretion, and without any obligation to monitor — to refuse, cancel, remove, or stop production of any order, and to suspend or terminate accounts, when we become aware that a design appears to infringe someone's rights or otherwise violates this policy or the law. Operators may likewise decline any job they believe infringes someone's rights, and we act on valid rights-holder complaints as described below. [OWNER: if you later want optional keyword/filename screening as a backstop, confirm the wording with counsel — this policy does not promise proactive review.]

4. Reporting infringement (DMCA notice)

If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act for one) and believe content on 3D Print Dash infringes your work, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

Designated DMCA agent: [OWNER: agent name] · [OWNER: dmca@yourdomain email] · [OWNER: mailing address]. We will act on properly submitted notices, including removing or disabling access to the material.

5. Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent, including your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, your contact information, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court. We may restore the material as permitted by law.

6. Repeat-infringer policy

Accounts that repeatedly infringe others' intellectual property will be terminated. We may also remove content and suspend accounts at any time to comply with the law or this policy.

7. Our role & safe harbor

3D Print Dash is an intermediary platform connecting customers with independent operators. We do not create the models customers upload and do not pre-clear their rights. Customers are responsible for the files they submit, and operators are responsible for declining jobs they believe infringe. Uploaded files are treated as confidential and are used only to produce and ship your order. We intend to operate consistently with the safe-harbor provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and respond promptly to valid notices.

8. Contact & changes

Questions about this policy or a specific model? Contact [OWNER: contact email]. We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. This policy works alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Note: This page is a plain-language template, not legal advice. Before relying on it, have it reviewed by a qualified attorney and register a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office (copyright.gov/dmca-directory). Replace every [OWNER: …] placeholder with your real details.
